About Me

I am 3rd Year student at Hull College studying BA (Hons) Technical and Theatre Production, orginially from Birmingham the course looks at the development of skills within Lighting, Sound, Set and Production and Stage Management.  I have a keen interest within Stage Managment and an interest for Lighting.

I am an aspiring Deputy Stage Manager looking to work on Musical Theatre production. My work within Stage Management has been Deputy Stage Manager – Hull College, Little Shop of Horrors, Bonnie and Clyde and Hull College’s Christmas Festival (2015) where I was a Deputy Stage Manager on the Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance Performance.

At Hull New Theatre I have been an Assistant Stage Manager and Followspot Operator for King and I (November 2014) and Stage Manager for White Christmas (November 2015) with a company called “One Off Productions”

At Hull Truck Theatre I have been a Mic Assistant for the Google Confrence (February 2015) as well as Followspot Operator for Sweeney Todd (March 2016) with “Northern Academy of Performing Arts” (NAPA) and Assistant Stage Manager for Gypsy The Musical (May 2016) with “One Off Productions” both companies based in Hull.

Since February 2015 I became a Causal Theatre Technician at the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham. Whilst studying at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) (2011-2013) I volunteered as Front of House for the theatre as well as being a Followspot Operator for Give My Regards to Broadway (2013) and Assistant Stage Manager for Give My Regards to Hollywood (2014) with a company called Ka-Bu-Ki based in Birminghan. My first paid job at the theatre was as a Followspot Operator for a Burlesque show hosted by the theatre.

Also whilst studying at BOA I was a volunteer Technician at Arden Hall Community Theatre 2011 – 2013 where I worked as a Lighting Operator and Deputy Stage Manager for a Snow White pantomime, Assistant Stage Manager for a tribute show help at the Community Theatre, Stage Manager for a company known as “Castle Browmich Singers” as well Production/Technical Manager for a show by the same company.

Whilst at BOA I volunteered as Front of House for may shows throughout my 2 years of studying as well as being a Deputy Stage Manager for a Shakespeare Shorts Festival hosted by the College where I cued lighting and Sound for the show and Production Manager as part of my course for a Theatre In Education project and Stage Manager for a play written by the Director of Acting Steve Eagles “Dorian Grey” which looked at fairytale people such as Dracula, Frankenstien’s Monster and etc where I looked after props and the general cleanliness of the stage.

I have also been an Assistant Stage Manager with a company based in Lichfield for their performance of Annie the Musical the company is known as “Walsall Operatics Society” I worked on this production in March 2013 assiting with scene changes and giving props to the relevant performers.
